About the Role:
Purple Hearts Health Care Services is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team in Smithville, GA. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance and support with transfers, ambulation, and positioning
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Personal Care Aide, CNA, HHA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and respect for clients and their families
- Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to client locations in Smithville, GA
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and document services accurately
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
