Description Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) positions are available in Contra Costa County, CA. We have multiple openings for full‑time and part‑time positions. About the Company ProHealth is a locally owned Home Health, Hospice & Palliative Care agency with four locations serving more than 12 counties in Northern California. We maintain an average daily census of over 1,800 patients and have been an industry leader for over 15 years. Our patient‑focused care model provides personalized care, ranging from nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and even registered dietitian services. Job Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy according to the directions of a physical therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care. Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance. Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training. Observe and report to the physical therapist and organization personnel the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in the patient’s condition. Instruct patients in the care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices. Qualifications Valid PTA license to practice in CA. Current BLS/CPR certification.
