- Pay range: $21/hr - $25.89/hr (based on experience)
- Shift: Mon to Fri, 8 hour shift in-office | 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Huge potential to go perm based on performance!
- At least 3 years experience in healthcare, dental, oral surgery RCM setting .
- 2 years experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist within healthcare
- Understanding of Dental & Medical insurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Computer, software, and EMR literacy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Identify problem accounts with payors; investigate, correct errors, follow-up on missing account information, resolve past-due accounts.
- Research inquiries regarding past-due balances and insurance guidelines.
- Resolve delinquent accounts; prepare payment plans, monitor adherence by guarantor; direct accounts to inside collection department.
- Prepare reports to identify and resolve accounts receivable issues.
- Post data; verify and perform mathematical computations; maintain files.
- Work to get any necessary documentation for patients, insurance carriers or other areas.
- Identify patient accounts for collection action when delinquent or unable to contact patient.
- Process the Account Receivable Report.
- Contact payors/insurance companies if delay in responding to statements or claims.
- Verify patient & guarantor demographics to confirm account for refunds team.
- Document all communication regarding account between patient, guarantor, insurance carrier, practice, and surgeon.
- Provide the utmost level of customer service to the practice.
