Senior Software Engineer - Backend

As a Backend Engineer at Sift, you’ll play a critical role in delivering the experiences that help thousands of users navigate and understand their organization. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering team to build robust backend systems that provide smart, quick, and innovative experiences to our end users.About the roleDevelop and test very complex software solutions with minimal directionRelease and validate software, developing new deployment patterns as necessaryLead software support, incident resolution and blameless reviewsDevelop code modules and patterns useful within the teamConduct exploratory or experimental work to develop prototypesGuide code and design reviews for the teamProvide software documentation and demonstration for technical and non-technical audiencesMentor team members on any of the aboveAboutyouMinimum Qualifications3+ years of experience developing production-ready web applicationsStrong understanding of modern JavaScript and TypeScriptExtensive experience building web APIs with Node.jsProficiency in SQL databases such as PostgresExperience with test-driven development, including unit and end-to-end testingExcellent communication and collaboration skillsComfort in a fast-paced and cross-functional startup environmentEagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of your workExperience utilizing AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
