High Value Residential Insurance Inspector

Field Consultant Signature Companies has been a trusted provider of inspection and appraisal services to insurance carriers since 1993. Signature is seeking a Field Consultant to serve counties in Bergen, Union, Morris, Somerset, and Passaic. The role offers independent, flexible work with challenging daily assignments. Responsibilities: Schedule and conduct on-site high-value property surveys. Coordinate and complete surveys within a self-determined schedule, ensuring timely completion of web-based reports. Visit properties, take photos, and record measurements and construction details. Identify and document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of each home. Generate estimated replacement values and identify major hazards. Communicate findings in Loss Control 360 accessed through the Signature website. Requirements and Tools: Prior underwriting experience is desirable. Prior residential home inspection experience is desirable. Loss control experience is desirable. Strong oral and written communication skills. Professionalism and strong work ethic. Construction experience desired (not required). BA or BS degree desired (not required). Must have a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer. Reliable late-model vehicle with Auto and General Liability insurance. High-speed internet, digital camera or smartphone with a 16‑MP camera or greater, and measuring devices such as laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel.
