Travel PCU Stepdown RN

Role Overview: A Stepdown RN provides specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units, requiring frequent monitoring and complex interventions. Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities. Administer medications and treatments, assist with cardiac procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Observe and document patient conditions, respond to cardiac emergencies, and communicate with healthcare teams. Educate patients on cardiac health, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain confidentiality. Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN. Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications; PCCN and NIHSS preferred. Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to move and assist with equipment; mental resilience to work under pressure.
