Position Overview The Credit Manager role oversees the Credit Department, setting operational goals, staffing, training, and enforcing company credit policy. Responsibilities Represent Ben E. Keith professionally and maintain a positive attitude, following dress code. Set up customer accounts in the PeopleSoft system. Analyze credit applications for creditworthiness. Approve customer credit terms for the branch and maintain credit files. Oversee problem accounts to ensure consistent collection activity, timely collections within credit terms. Explain corporate credit policy to sales reps, ensuring written acknowledgment. Prepare and manage monthly credit call processes, produce actual and potential bad debt reports. Enforce credit policy matters such as late DSR collection deductions and bad debt chargebacks. Manage collection of previously written‑off accounts. Ensure correct sales tax rates are maintained in branch mainframe system. Qualifications Ability to write reports, correspondence, and communications. Ability to effectively present information in written and/or verbal format. Ability to prioritize multiple projects, assignments, and tasks, managing time and resources efficiently. Ability to learn and use all Ben E. Keith applications. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit/Collections or related field. Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint. Previous management experience preferred. Valid Texas driver’s license required for company business travel. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or related industry.
