Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer - 6am-2pm - Schaumburg, IL
Zing Recruiting has partnered with a 100 year old metal manufacturing company who works with a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, energy, agriculture and more!! Candidate should have PPAP and ISO 9001 experience.
Pay range is 75k-90k depending on experience.

Qualifications include:

• Engineering Degree
• 3+ years experience within metals.
• PPAP, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T

Responsibilities include:

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on metal components using precision measuring tools
• Prepare and submit complete PPAP packages (Levels 1-5) in accordance with customer and industry requirements.
• Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of machined and fabricated metal parts.
• Maintain and update quality documentation including control plans, FMEAs, and process flow diagrams.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, customer audits).
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics and trends.
