Mental Health Coordinator - LPC/LSW Required Compensation: $71,136 - $86,944 / year Department: Mental Health Job Overview The Mental Health Coordinator oversees mental health services in the facility by providing clinical and administrative supervision and direction to the mental health staff, while also delivering services to inmate patients and consulting with facility personnel. They ensure quality mental health care for both staff and inmates. Key Responsibilities Plan, supervise, and manage clinical services provided by mental health staff and allocate resources to meet institutional needs. Provide clinical and administrative supervision and direction to mental health staff, including disciplinary counseling and performance evaluations. Provide mental health services to inmates and consult with facility personnel as needed. Coordinate with facility administrative staff and maintain confidentiality of inmate information. Develop and implement corrective steps to ensure quality mental health care and notify supervisory personnel of significant concerns. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or behavioral science field. Experience Experience in coordinating and administering mental health service delivery systems. Knowledge of management/supervision techniques, mental health counseling, psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders, and psychological evaluation techniques. Licenses/Certifications Licensed to practice psychology or social work in the State. Must maintain CPR certification and any other required certifications.
