Job Description
A client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Albuquerque, NM. This person could also sit in Moorpark/CA, Colorado Springs/CO, Huntsville/AL, or Germantown/MD. This engineer will lead mechanical design, structural analysis, and thermal analysis for space and airborne hardware. Perform FEA, stress, vibration/modal, thermal, and tolerance analyses. Support hardware integration, assembly, testing, and formal acceptance activities. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on R&D and low-volume production programs. Develop engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and requirements.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree
12+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Experience with structural and thermal analysis (FEA, stress, modal, thermal, bolt load analysis).
CAD design experience, preferably SolidWorks.
Space hardware design, integration, and test experience.
Ability to obtain a security clearance (ITAR-compliant). Customer facing experience
Experience supporting spacecraft, payloads, or opto-mechanical systems
