Registered Nurse Emergency RoomOur client, a leading health system in Ulysses, KS, is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Room department. This is a full-time position with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesAssume responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the healthcare team and the patient/family.Identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through the nursing process.Work in a 5-room emergency department that stabilizes trauma patients for transfer and provides outpatient IV therapy and wound care.Care for patients with general issues including migraines, appendectomy, abdominal pain, flu, and pneumonia cases.Participate in cross-training to other units, enhancing skills and marketability.RequirementsEducation Requirements:Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.Experience Requirements:One year RN experience preferred.Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.Licenses/Certification Requirements:RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.Physical Requirements:Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly).ScheduleFull-time position with a night shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.Compensation$30.58 - $42.99/hourBenefitsMedical, prescription drug, dental, and vision plans.Life insurance.Paid time off (minimum of 14 paid time off days, including holidays annually).Tuition reimbursement.Retirement plan benefits including 401(k) and 403(b).
