Overview Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Bethel, Connecticut. Responsibilities Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Develops personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implements physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques, equipment, and modalities to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operates specialized equipment safely, ensures proper maintenance and calibration. Assesses patient progress, adjusts treatment plans as necessary, and documents evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Works closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Maintains a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engages in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices. Participates in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home‑based settings. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience; new graduates welcome. Strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care. Ability to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Fine manipulation, push/pull skills, and ability to move equipment during procedures. Strong visual acuity and effective communication skills. Ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public, meet deadlines under pressure, and work under close supervision or independently when needed.
