TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Kearney, Nebraska, 68845!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12H Nights EOW Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: C-section experience Description: L&D beds available. Spacious, private labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum rooms. Two antepartum rooms and one operating room suite. Two on-call rooms for doctors. Approximately 50 births per month and 600 births per year. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, and NRP; FHM preferred. Patient ratios are couplets 1:3 and laboring 1:1. Charting system used is EPIC. Unit includes a charge nurse, lactation counselor, unit secretary/notary, maternity educator, and nurse aides/OB tech. Floating to NICU may occur for feeders and growers only. Mothers labor and deliver in one bed; babies stay in bassinets in their mothers' rooms. Emphasis is placed on skin-to-skin care. Strong teamwork involvement is encouraged within the department. Recognized as a 'Safe Sleep Champion' by relevant health authorities. Cancellations require a two-week notice, with the possibility of canceling up to 48 hours during a 13-week assignment without penalty.
