Behavior Technician Job Description

ProCare Therapy is hiring a motivated Behavior Technician to join a supportive school district in Elk Grove, CA. In this full-time, school-based role, you'll work directly with K-12 students, providing behavioral support that promotes academic achievement, positive social interactions, and personal growth.

As a Behavior Technician, you will:

• Deliver one-on-one and small group behavioral support services to students.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under staff direction.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and assist students with developing self-regulation skills.
• Record behavioral observations and maintain accurate progress documentation.
• Partner with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success.
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment throughout the school day.

Behavior Technician Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with behavioral needs is preferred.
• Experience in ABA, special education, mental health, or related support roles is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary school team.
• Passion for helping students reach their educational and behavioral goals.
