Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse - Home Health

• Observe, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing support for individuals in community settings.
• Work closely with other health professionals to plan and evaluate health programs and services.
• Coordinate communication and actions across various disciplines for health and safety support.
• Manage medications as prescribed, ensuring policies for medication administration are followed.
• Report progress to physicians when there are changes in the client's condition.
• Complete necessary nursing documents and maintain health status documentation.
• Supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses and ensure health-related appointments are managed.
• Provide training for new employees and ensure unlicensed staff are informed on health maintenance.

Requirements of the Registered Nurse - Home Health

• WV RN/Compact license
• Proficient in OASIS and HCHB
• Experience with IVs, lab sticks, wound vacs, and med surg skills
