Tool Room Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Summary The Tool Room Machinist interprets blueprints, operates and maintains equipment to fabricate, assemble, and repair precision parts which meet specified dimensions and quality standards. Responsible for the setup, testing, and adjustment of machines, ensuring smooth operation and efficiency in the production process. This is a hands‑on position that requires technical expertise, precision, and a proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards of quality. Job Details Position Type: Hourly, Full Time Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 2:30pm – 11:00pm Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hour, depending on experience Plus, $2.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift Work Location: HF (7034 IL Route 84, Savanna, IL 61074) Reports to: Tooling Manager What You Will Do as a Tool Room Machinist Operate mechanical equipment (lathes, milling machines, grinders) to fabricate, assemble, and repair parts Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specs to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances Set up, maintain, and service equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Report issues with machinery or parts to supervisors for resolution Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures Help train less experienced team members Perform all other duties as assigned.
