Camera-Ready Fine Jewelry Sales & Social Media Associate

I’m hiring someone to join my team at Spectra Fine Jewelry who genuinely loves jewelry, knows their way around an iPhone and Instagram, and enjoys talking to people.

We work with fine diamonds, colored gemstones and signed jewelry. I’m looking for someone who wants to understand what makes a piece special, describe it properly, show it well and help sell it.

The role brings together showroom sales, social media, jewelry cataloguing, inventory and office work. Content is an important part of it, but you won’t be filming all day. You’ll also be working with clients, writing descriptions, updating inventory and helping with the day-to-day business.

What you’ll be doing

Working with clients and selling jewelry

Helping clients in the showroom, answering Instagram DMs, texts and emails, sending photos and product information, and following up. You should enjoy conversation, listen to what someone is looking for and be comfortable moving an inquiry toward a sale. There’s plenty to learn, but an interest in selling is important.

Running our day-to-day social media

Taking good photos and videos with an iPhone, coming up with ideas, writing captions and keeping Instagram active with daily Stories and regular posts and Reels. We’ll also create content for TikTok and directly for clients.

Ideally, you can produce professional-looking content yourself. Where outside help is needed, you should be capable of finding the right freelancer or company and managing the project: coordinating shoots, supplying product information, reviewing the work and making sure posts go out consistently. I’m looking for someone who can keep this moving, not wait to be told what to post every day.

Wearing and presenting jewelry on camera

You’ll appear in our content, show your face, speak about pieces and wear jewelry for photos and videos. This includes necklaces, earrings, rings, bracelets and watches, with close-up shots of hands, wrists and the neck and neckline.

A polished, camera-ready presence, good personal style and attention to presentation matter. That includes well-groomed hands, neat nails or a clean manicure, and styling that lets the jewelry show clearly. You don’t need formal modeling experience, but you do need to be comfortable presenting jewelry naturally and confidently on camera.

Writing descriptions and learning the inventory

Writing clear, accurate jewelry descriptions for our inventory, listings, client messages and social media. That means more than calling something “beautiful.” You’ll learn to work with details such as stone types, carat weights, metals, measurements, signatures and laboratory reports, and check the information before using it.

Jewelry sales or cataloguing experience is a strong plus. Someone who already understands jewelry would be valuable, but I’m also open to a quick learner with a genuine interest and strong writing skills.

Computer work, AI and office support

Keeping inventory records and files organized, working with spreadsheets, handling email and helping with administrative projects. Being good with an iPhone matters, but you also need basic computer skills and the ability to learn our systems.

I’d like someone who uses AI practically, whether that’s developing content ideas, improving a draft, organizing information or saving time on everyday work. You need to check what it produces, protect confidential information and know when to ask rather than guess.

What matters to me

I’m looking for someone sharp, dependable and easy to work with. Someone who notices details, follows through with clients and is willing to help with different parts of the business.

You should be comfortable around valuable jewelry, careful with inventory and discreet about clients. There is room to learn and grow here, but you need to bring curiosity, initiative and good judgment.

Occasional business travel is part of the position, including trade shows, client meetings and other company trips, sometimes accompanying me or another team member.

Additional languages are a benefit, not a requirement.

Salary and commission

This is a base salary plus sales commission position. We sell high-value jewelry, so someone who learns the collection, builds relationships and sells well has meaningful earning potential. Depending on sales results and the agreed commission structure, commissions can exceed base salary.
