PRN Ultrasound Tech-Senior (MARC Radiology)-Saturday Shift

PRN Ultrasound Tech‑Senior (MARC Radiology) Join UT Health San Antonio as a PRN Ultrasound Technician – Senior level. Work PRN evening shifts 4–8 p.m. Under limited supervision you perform diagnostic sonographic examinations and mentor junior team members. Responsibilities Operate ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques. Locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. Schedule and coordinate tests and maintain operational logs. Record test results and update patient records for referring physicians. Maintain and calibrate equipment and order necessary supplies. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Ability to instruct patients on positioning to obtain accurate images. Active listening, interpersonal communication, and social skills; empathize with patients. Read and comprehend written imaging orders. Organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements timely. Work independently or with little supervision in a team environment. Act as a team leader, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows. Maintain strict confidentiality levels. Licenses and Certifications RDMS‑V Registered Diagnostic Med Sonographer – Vascular (Required) RVS Registered Vascular Specialist (Required) BLS Basic Life Support (Preferred) Schedule PRN Evening 4–8 p.m. Benefits Overview UT Health San Antonio offers an excellent benefits package for eligible employees.
