About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required, with preference for 3-4 years. License: WA license required; compact license candidates must apply for WA license and complete suicide prevention training. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Candidates must provide additional skill checklist ratings of 1-4 for the following: - ORIF: Plates, screws, IM nails, and non-unions. - Neuro: Craniotomy for tumors, clippings, AVMs, bypass grafting, VP shunts, cranioplasties, and craniectomies. - Circulating skills are required. - Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center is mandatory. Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This position requires experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on trauma care. Candidates should possess the ability to respond effectively in critical situations. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as weekend shifts are required. The unit performs a high volume of orthopedic, spine, and neuro cases. Candidates will be expected to scrub, with scrub experience preferred. Daily case census ranges from 60 to 70. Shifts rotate and include days, evenings, and weekends. The hospital is a comprehensive trauma center handling multiple service lines except cardiac and transplant. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in handling complex surgical scenarios. Candidates should be prepared to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
