Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Schedule: 12-hour Nights

Assignment Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- High-risk telemetry experience (including post-op open heart)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management, cardiac drip management, central line management, sheath removal, post-op open heart care, and management of new tracheostomy
- Familiarity with BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes, and wound/VAC care
- EMR: Experience with EPIC

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
- Administer cardiac drips and manage central lines, including sheath removal.
- Provide post-operative care for open heart surgery patients and manage new tracheostomy patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety and healthcare regulations.

Compliance / Notes:
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule)
- Floating within the service line to inpatient units may be required.
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scrub color: Navy
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Maximum 7 days RTO without manager approval; no RTO allowed the first week.
- License in hand is required for submission in the relevant state.
