A nationally recognized construction and project management firm specializing in complex renovation and interior construction projects is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee projects across multiple markets nationwide. This organization partners with well-known hospitality, commercial, and lifestyle brands to deliver high-end renovations in occupied and fast-paced environments.

Position Overview

The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for leading day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of construction. This individual will serve as the primary on-site leader and work closely with project management, ownership teams, architects, and vendors to deliver successful projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries to maintain project flow and schedule milestones
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance at all times
• Conduct regular site walks to monitor workmanship, quality control, and progress
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to address field conditions and project challenges
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and project documentation
• Oversee logistics and sequencing in active or occupied environments
• Lead subcontractor meetings and maintain strong communication across all project stakeholders
• Ensure materials are properly received, stored, and protected on-site
• Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or construction issues

Qualifications

• 7+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience within commercial construction
• Experience with renovation, hospitality, retail, multifamily, or interior projects preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction management software platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related tools
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay on-site for project durations
• Valid driver's license required

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 – $170,000 depending on experience
