Service Advisor Position

Pay Scale: The Representative Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $17.75. The position may also pay commission compensation based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance ranging from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and explain repair options in a clear and understandable manner.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule service appointments, coordinate with technicians, and manage the flow of vehicles through the service bay.
- Problem Identification and Diagnosis: Assist in identifying vehicle issues through customer descriptions, visual inspections, and potentially test drives, clarifying issues for technicians.
- Work Order Preparation: Prepare detailed repair orders, including time and cost estimates, and document customer concerns for technicians.
- Customer Communication: Provide updates on repair progress, explain charges clearly, and address customer inquiries or concerns.
- Upselling and Sales: Recommend additional services or products when appropriate, contributing to overall sales and revenue.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction with the service provided, handling complaints and seeking resolutions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate customer records and enter data into computer databases.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with technicians and other service personnel to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to handle customer complaints and maintain a positive attitude.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve customer issues, and to communicate effectively with technicians.
Sales Skills: Strong sales skills, including the ability to up-sell additional services and products.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedule appointments, and keep records organized.
Basic Knowledge of Automotive Technology: Understanding of automotive systems and repair processes.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with computer systems and software, including scheduling, repair order management, and record-keeping.
