Job Title IT Senior Cloud Developer (MER0003YXS) Company Mercedes-Benz Group AG – Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Job Overview A highly skilled Senior Cloud Developer to lead the migration of an on‑prem application to Azure cloud. The role involves design, coding, implementation, and optimization of applications, driving adoption of best practices and ensuring operational excellence. Responsibilities Architect, design, develop and implement scalable, highly available cloud‑native applications on Azure (30%). Lead design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, monitoring, and management using tools such as Terraform. Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining technical roadmaps, system capabilities and business processes (10%). Ensure cloud solutions comply with security best practices and compliance standards, implementing IAM policies and encryption techniques (10%). Collaborate with product owners and operations teams to translate business requirements into effective cloud‑based system designs and facilitate integration into existing workflows (20%). Qualifications Legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Minimum 10 years overall work experience, with at least 5 years in cloud engineering focused on scalable applications. Proficiency in Java, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, microservices, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures. Experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, and observability tools such as Datadog. Strong knowledge of SQL, Hibernate, and web services (REST/SOAP). Experience in designing and managing cloud applications at scale, preferably single‑page applications using micro‑frontend architecture. Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Majors in Information Technology or related fields.
