Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (CT)Loyal Source Government Services is looking for four full-time Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (CT) at the VA Portland Health Care System.Job Summary: The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) will provide non-personal healthcare support services onsite at the VA Portland Health Care System. Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to all individuals.Pay Rate: $62.21 / hr + $5.42 H&W FringeDuties:Works with the radiologist/physician as a member of the radiology procedure team. Must assist and anticipate the needs of the radiologist/physician and the performance of the exam. They must be continuously on the alert for the patient's condition and sterile field.Prepares contrast materials under the direction of the radiologist for the purpose of performing exams requiring injectable or consumable solutionsRecords all doses of radiation for fluoroscopy and portable fluoroscopy exams in the technologist comment section in Vista and/or by generating and sending the dose summary report from the fluoroscopy equipment.Receives and interprets all radiology requests for accuracy, appropriateness; date desired and maintains a thorough knowledge of the ordering process in CPRS.Performs and completes imaging studies within the established guidelines for stat, preop, urgent and routine exams.Responsible for the quality of radiographic exams performed in order to assure a high level of acceptability of radiographs while minimizing patient dosage and reducing costs.Responsible for operating and maximizing utilization of all equipment.Uses independent judgment and possesses the ability to vary exams or treatment procedures as needed to compensate for patient's individual medical conditions and body habitusMaintains electronic records and files of exams performed on patientsPerforms all aspects of CT imaging to include: Head, Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Pelvis Extremities, 3D Reconstructions of CT, Multi-Planar Reformats CT and Angiographic studies when requested and/or when part of a standard procedureOther duties may be includedQualifications:Minimum of 2 year of experience with advanced CT applicationKnowledge of anatomy and physiologyMust have a BLSLocations and Schedule:Portland VA Medical Center3710 SW U.S. Veterans Hospital RoadPortland, OR 97239Vancouver VA Medical Center1601 E.
