Landscaper

The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the grounds at Alderbrook Resort & Spa and Union City Market, ensuring that all outdoor areas are attractive, clean, and well-kept for guests and staff. This role combines hands-on landscape maintenance with friendly, positive interaction with Alderbrook Resort & Spa employees and guests.

We're looking for someone who can...

• Perform general landscape upkeep, including mowing, weeding, pruning, edging, weed eating, and planting.
• Maintain and clean outdoor public spaces, including pressure washing, sweeping or blowing pathways and parking lots, and litter pickup.
• Maintain and repair the irrigation system as needed.
• Support upkeep of the resort's trail system, including operating equipment such as a chainsaw to clear fallen trees or limbs.
• Always follow proper safety precautions and guidelines while performing tasks.

Qualifications

• Required | 1+ years' landscape maintenance experience
• Equivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered

Required Permits & Certifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required
• Level B Sawyer certification preferred

Collaboration & Engagement

As a Landscaper, you will work under the direct guidance of the Maintenance Manager. In addition to your home department, you will regularly work with the UCM team. You will not oversee other staff and can expect a moderate level of interaction with guests and the public.

Foundational & Prerequisite Skills

• Basic written composition, comprehension, English (reading, writing), general troubleshooting, and general machine/equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Intermediate spoken English and lawn tool operation.
• Advanced safety-consciousness, landscaping, and landscaping irrigation systems.

Learn on the Job

• Intermediate knowledge and identification of native and invasive foliage.

• Physical Demands.
