Financial Services Representative/Loan Officer

TruChoice FCU is hiring a Financial Services Representative/Loan Officer in Buxton. TruChoice FCU, a growing $250M credit union, is looking for a full-time Financial Services Representative to join our team in our Buxton branch. The Financial Service Representative partners with members to understand their financial needs and guide them through the lending and account-opening process. This position delivers high-quality member experience aligned with TruChoice’s SMILE service standards while recommending loan, deposit, and service solutions tailored to each member’s unique financial situation. The Financial Service Representative processes consumer loans, auto loans, personal lines of credit, and deposit accounts while supporting member financial wellness, service excellence, and branch growth objectives. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Interviews members to identify financial needs and goals and guides them through the application process for consumer loans, auto loans, personal lines of credit, and deposit accounts. Processes, originates, and closes loans and opens accounts in accordance with Credit Union policies, lending guidelines, compliance requirements, and service standards. Analyze member financial situations and recommends appropriate loan, deposit, and service solutions that meet individual needs and support financial success. Educates members on available products, services, and lending options while identifying opportunities to deepen member relationships through personalized recommendations. Provides exceptional service in every interaction by adhering to TruChoice’s SMILE service standards. Responds to member questions with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy while ensuring a positive and seamless member experience throughout the lending and account-opening process. Conducts proactive follow-up with members to ensure service expectations have been met and outstanding items have been resolved. Assists members with onboarding activities, including debit card receipt and activation, direct deposit setup, and other account-related services. Identifies additional opportunities to recommend products and services that support member needs and financial goals.
