Operator/Driver

Summary Will operate most types of heavy equipment used for road maintenance, drive trucks (including Belly Dumps and End Dumps) to deliver and spread gravel, watering roads or removing snow. Hand work that includes patching potholes, trimming trees, installing signs and traffic control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Grade County roads, haul gravel, install signs, traffic control, trim trees and brush, and perform snow removal in the winter months. Other duties not mentioned may be assigned. Competency Must be punctual and take direction from supervisor. Must have experience with the basic operations of older as well as newer equipment. Position requirements include the basic skills to safely operate heavy equipment, belly dumps, dump trucks and snow plows. Must be able to work with the general public as well as with fellow County employees. Computer Skills Not a requirement Certificates and Licenses Class A CDL drivers license. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
