Paragon Landscaping Corporation is seeking an experienced, professional Turf Applicator to join our team.

Paragon is a premier residential landscape company specializing in the maintenance, enhancement, and installation of high-end residential properties throughout Philadelphia's Main Line. This is not a high-volume, production-driven lawn treatment position . Our focus is on proper turf diagnosis, responsible applications, attention to detail, accurate documentation, exceptional property care, and consistently delivering outstanding results.

We are looking for an experienced turf professional who understands that a great applicator does more than simply complete a scheduled treatment. The right individual will evaluate each lawn, recognize developing problems, communicate concerns, and take ownership of the quality of the turf under their care.

Compensation

$30.00–$35.00 per hour , based on experience, Pennsylvania pesticide certifications, turf knowledge, and demonstrated ability.

In addition to hourly compensation, this position is eligible for a:

5–10% Annual Performance Incentive

The annual performance incentive is based on individual and company performance, including quality of work, turf results, productivity, attendance, safety, application accuracy, documentation, equipment and vehicle care, client satisfaction, and overall contribution to the Paragon team.

Paragon is willing to pay at the top of the range for an experienced, licensed turf professional capable of independently managing applications and identifying turf-related issues on high-end residential properties.

Key Responsibilities

The Turf Applicator will be responsible for:

• Performing scheduled lawn fertilization applications
• Applying pre-emergent and post-emergent weed-control products
• Performing broadleaf and grassy weed control
• Applying turf insect and disease-control treatments when required
• Applying soil amendments and specialty turf treatments
• Monitoring lawns for disease, insect activity, weeds, nutrient deficiencies, drought stress, compaction, and other turf health concerns
• Identifying turfgrass problems and communicating recommended corrective actions
• Properly mixing, loading, handling, and applying fertilizers and turf-care products
• Accurately calibrating spreaders, sprayers, and other application equipment
• Reading, understanding, and following product labels and all applicable application requirements
• Maintaining accurate pesticide application records and required documentation
• Recording completed services, materials, observations, and property notes in the company's field-management system
• Communicating turf concerns and potential corrective services to management
• Monitoring irrigation-related conditions that may affect turf quality and communicating concerns to the appropriate team members
• Maintaining application vehicles, tanks, pumps, hoses, spreaders, sprayers, and related equipment
• Keeping assigned vehicles and equipment clean, organized, safe, and professional in appearance
• Following all Pennsylvania pesticide laws, regulations, label requirements, and Paragon safety procedures
• Providing courteous and professional service when interacting with clients
• Coordinating with Paragon's landscape maintenance teams regarding turf conditions, mowing practices, irrigation concerns, and other factors affecting lawn quality

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Professional lawn-care or turf-management experience
• Strong knowledge of cool-season turfgrasses common to southeastern Pennsylvania
• Experience identifying common turf weeds, insects, diseases, and environmental stresses
• Experience with fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other professional turf products
• Experience calibrating spreaders and spray equipment
• Understanding of proper pesticide handling, mixing, application, storage, and recordkeeping
• Pennsylvania pesticide applicator certification/license strongly preferred
• Candidates with substantial professional turf experience who are capable of obtaining the required Pennsylvania certification may also be considered
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and professional application equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage an assigned application schedule
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a larger landscape-management team
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials and equipment required for the position

Schedule

This is a full-time, year-round position based from Paragon's Norristown, Pennsylvania operation and servicing high-end residential properties throughout Philadelphia's Main Line.

Work schedules vary seasonally and based on weather and application requirements. Candidates must be dependable and willing to work the hours necessary to complete applications properly and within appropriate treatment windows.
