Part Time Dental HygienistBlue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Part Time Dental Hygienist to be part of our Dental Team.What We Offer You:403(b) retirement account with company matchingWhat You'll Do:Performs duties of a dental hygienist by completing dental prophylaxis; providing oral radiographic studies; charting conditions of decay and disease; performing procedures in compliance with dental standard practice. Responsibilities include:Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.Responsible for the preparation and setting up of materials necessary for each procedure.Detects potential disease by using probes to locate periodontal disease and assess levels of recessionAssist in managing dental emergenciesMechanical polishing of the coronal portion of the teethApplication of desensitizing agentsWhitening of the coronal portion of the teeth using tray-based systems; including the application of a dam if required for these tray-based systemsApplication of desensitizing agentsResponsible for following all OSHA Standards, sterilization of instruments, and the cleaning and routine maintenance of the clinic and equipment.What We're Looking For:High school diploma or equivalent required.Certification/Licensure Specific Requirements:Must Maintain CPR CertificationDental Radiology CertificationKnowledge of dental terminologyBilingual preferred, but not required.
