Physician - OBGYN

Position Overview Specialty: OBGYN. Schedule: 0.6 clinical in office, 0.4 hospitalist. Call Schedule: Varies. Practice Detail: Join 3 MDs & 1 NP. EMR System: Athena. Facility: Brownsburg OB. Location: Eagle Highlands, IN. This location is not in a Health Professional Shortage Area. Key Responsibilities Management of labor up to and including delivery, as requested by generalist physicians Urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician Caring for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room Triage of all patients who present to the unit unless directly admitted When necessary perform cesarean deliveries Perform circumcisions Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults & actions when requested Provide care at Level IV hospital and nursery, Level IV maternity center and NICU Ensure availability of 24hr dedicated OB anesthesia Outpatient office hours as needed Work within a rapidly growing suburban market with mostly private payer mix Location includes Women’s & Infants Hospital/86 Street Campus Qualifications MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required Advanced Life Support preferred.
