Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Speech Language Pathologist providing support across K-12 settings. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with diverse student populations in Michigan communities such as Grand Blanc, Lansing, Detroit, and surrounding areas. Openings are available for up to two professionals, with a strong preference for those with SLP-CCC credentials, though consideration will be given to well-qualified Clinical Fellows (CFYs) who possess a current MI temporary license and a supervisor in place.

Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Active Speech Language Pathology license in the state of Michigan (SLP-CCC preferred, CFY with temp license accepted)
• Previous school-based experience is highly valued
• Ability to collaborate with staff and parents to ensure student success
• SLPs should be prepared to discuss their experience supporting urban youth and identify resources that benefit students and families in urban areas
• Must provide official university transcripts prior to placement consideration
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic interventions and assessments for K-12 student caseloads
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Serve as a vital resource for teachers, staff, and families regarding speech-related concerns and supports
• Maintain accurate reports and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams
• Engage in ongoing professional collaboration within the school environment

This assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and runs through June 2027, providing a stable and rewarding opportunity for growth. A typical week will involve 35 onsite hours, with priority given to candidates who are available in person, though strong virtual candidates may also be considered.
