Healthcare Regulatory Associate Attorney

Direct Counsel is partnering with a leading Am Law firm to identify a healthcare regulatory associate for its Birmingham office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated and collaborative healthcare team advising clients on complex regulatory matters impacting healthcare providers and organizations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising clients on healthcare regulatory compliance, including federal and state laws governing healthcare providers
• Conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, correspondence, and regulatory analyses
• Assisting with transactional and operational regulatory matters
• Interface directly with clients to provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance
• Collaborating with attorneys across practice groups on interdisciplinary healthcare matters

Qualifications include:

• 3–4+ years of healthcare regulatory experience, preferably within a law firm setting
• Strong knowledge of laws and regulations affecting healthcare providers
• Excellent academic credentials
• Superior research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines

Requirements include:

• Active membership in the Alabama Bar
• Must reside in or relocate to the Birmingham, AL area prior to start
• Ability to work in-office at least three business days per week
