If you're dedicated to accuracy, confidentiality, and delivering compassionate care, this position is an excellent fit for your career growth.ResponsibilitiesDraw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures and safety guidelines.Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection and patient information.Perform specimen processing and handling responsibilities in both clinical and forensic settings when required.Create a professional, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, promoting trust and confidence.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, dress code, and safety standards.Manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume environment, demonstrating excellent customer focus and communication skills.Travel to multiple locations as needed, including patient service centers and in-office phlebotomy sites, with a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.Required SkillsProven proficiency in phlebotomy, including pediatric and geriatric collections.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.Strong communication skills to explain procedures and build rapport with patients.Excellent organization and record-keeping capabilities.Error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if applicable.Additional Skills & RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent is required.Phlebotomy certification is preferred; in California, Nevada, and Washington, certification is required.Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, is required.Experience in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.Travel up to 100% may be required with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Your expertise in phlebotomy can make a significant difference in patient experiences.
