Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist - PICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care including the use of a variety of ventilators and respiratory devices.
• Assist in management of patient airways, inter-hospital transport, and ensure effective respiratory therapy treatments.
• Work with pediatric and neonatal patient populations in NICU or PICU settings.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to respiratory therapy to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in respiratory therapy department-specific orientations and training programs.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or equivalent certification.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required for practice in NICU.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a PICU or level III or greater NICU environment.
• Proficiency in operating equipment such as Hamilton and Servo – Vents, Respironics & Hamilton – BiPAP, and Fisher Paykel – HFNC.
• Ability to perform tasks under the guidance of hospital policies and adhere to established protocols.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to assist in patient education and support.
