Job Summary Directs and coordinates overall operations for all Point of Care and Near Patient testing performed. Provides clinical, technical, informatics oversight as well as training and guidance to non‑laboratory/nursing personnel performing tests. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate overall operations of Point of Care and Near Patient testing programs. Oversee clinical, technical, and informatics aspects of testing to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Provide training and ongoing guidance to non‑laboratory and nursing personnel performing tests. Ensure proper implementation and adherence to testing procedures, standards, and best practices. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Required: Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent such as military training as defined by 42 CFR 493.1489. Personnel who, prior to 2/28/92, have qualified at the Medical Technologist level by achieving a satisfactory grade on an HHS examination. Experience: 3 years of laboratory‑related experience. Licensure/Certification: Registered in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent). Licensure, as required by State law. Preferred: Experience: Previous Point of Care and Management experience. Licensure/Certification: (not specified). Organization Description Saint Francis Hospital‑Bartlett is a 196‑bed full‑service hospital located at 2986 Kate Bond Rd in Bartlett. Opened in 2004, the hospital provides an extensive offering of medical services including a 24‑hour emergency room, critical care, cardiac care, oncology, urology, physical therapy and a 16‑bed orthopedic/spine unit.
