Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse position is located in Hawaii. This role involves caring for patients in the immediate postoperative period, including Phase I and Phase II recovery. The PACU nurse provides advanced patient assessment and monitoring, demonstrating critical care skills to ensure patient stability and safety following surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid professional license within the state of practice; BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association; PALS credential recommended and may be required; 2+ years experience as a critical care registered nurse in a hospital setting may be accepted as a substitute for PACU nurse experience; Candidate must have Hawaii license by start of assignment; proof of flu vaccination or approved medical or religious exception required prior to contract start date.
• Schedule: Shifts vary between 8, 10, and 12 hours and can be Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. On Call shift 0-3 times per month during 8-hour night and 24-hour weekend/holiday shifts.
• Additional Information: Candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
• Submission Requirements: Proof of Hawaii license and vaccination or exception documentation needed prior to start date.
