Registered Nurse - MedSurg Ortho/Neuro Nights

Location: West Virginia

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Three 12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) per week, with every other weekend and holiday requirements as needed.

Job Description: Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the MedSurg Ortho/Neuro unit, providing high-quality care to patients with a range of medical and surgical needs. You will play a vital role in monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to medical and surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient management.
• Support patients and families through education and resources.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of West Virginia.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required; ACLS preferred.
• Basic arrhythmia knowledge with the ability to recognize fatal rhythms is essential.
