Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Schedule: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 pm–7:00 am)

Assignment Details: Contract: 13-week contract available

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Traveler experience: Required
• ICU experience: Required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring to patients recovering from various surgical procedures.
• Conduct thorough assessments and monitor vital signs of patients in the Phase I/II recovery setting.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery expectations.
• Support up-triaging patients to ICU if necessary based on assessment findings.

Compliance / Notes:

• RTO (Request Time Off): Up to 7 days maximum, auto-approved up to 7 days; no holidays.
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• All RTO must be pre-approved.
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only).
• Pre-start modules are required (approximately 8–10 hours for acute care).
