Job Overview

The staff physician in the clinical track will focus on delivering direct outpatient care to patients with Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepatology needs at our facilities in Doral and the upcoming Solé Miá location in North Miami, which is set to open in the fall of 2025. This role involves providing both outpatient clinical services and endoscopic procedures for patients requiring Gastroenterology and Hepatology care, as well as conducting screening procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient clinic operations and perform endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral and Solé Miá.
• Participate in night and weekend on-call rotations at the medical campus, sharing responsibilities with fellow physicians.
• Engage in inpatient rotations at UHT or JMH, in alignment with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• MD degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine internship, residency, and GI fellowship.
• Current American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible).
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or board eligible).
• Possession of a valid, unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (license must be obtained prior to credentialing).
• Valid DEA license.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Ability to provide case logs for procedures performed in the past two years for credentialing purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong understanding of professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Commitment to maintaining Continuing Medical Education (CME) to fulfill institutional and state licensing requirements.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, high-quality patient care that meets institutional standards.
• Ability to conduct follow-up encounters within 72 hours.

Working Conditions

This position is full-time and classified as a staff role. The pay grade for this position is 140.
