Job Description

The Emergency Department at our facility is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level II trauma center and a commitment to patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess and triage patients according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience; 1 year in an Emergency Room setting is required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications by the start date.
• Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000 visits) and familiarity with comprehensive stroke protocols preferred.
