Overview ObGyn Hospitalist Physician Employment in South Carolina – Laborist role with a private group. No call or office duties. Location: Charleston, SC – a fast‑growing community with excellent dining, shopping, and outdoor amenities. Choose living arrangements between urban and suburban options such as Mount Pleasant or Sullivan's Island. Role Provide obstetrical and gynecological care in one of two hospitals, primarily working 24‑hour or occasional 12‑hour shifts. Duties Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care, including contraceptive services. Provide direct care to high‑risk patients, with Maternal‑Fetal Medicine support accessed via telephone or video when necessary. Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds. Act as Safety Officer on Labor & Delivery to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance and practice coverage as requested. Shift Details Choose 1 of 2 hospital sites. Predominantly 24‑hour shifts; some 12‑hour shifts. Full‑time: 5 to 9 24‑hour shifts per 28‑day block. Promotable to Site Director.
