Job Summary:
A General Ultrasound Technologist position is available in Gardner, Massachusetts. This role involves producing two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for diagnostic purposes, utilizing ultrasound equipment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The technologist will perform examinations, operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and coordinate patient care during procedures.

Job Details:

• Location: Gardner, Massachusetts
• Schedule: Rotating shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or Radiology Technology; American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) registration in Ultrasound Technology; AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 6 months of hire; previous experience performing ultrasound procedures preferred or equivalent experience as determined by the Department Manager.

• Additional Information: The role includes performing all ultrasound imaging in accordance with pre-determined image criteria, ensuring diagnostic quality, proper patient positioning, and accurate documentation. The technologist must maintain a safe environment, follow safety procedures, and verify physician orders for accuracy. They will manage patient flow, operate computer systems for scheduling, and ensure proper records and billing procedures using the Meditech Computer System. The position requires physical activity exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and frequent reaching and handling. The candidate should demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, analytical thinking, and high technical skills.
