Food Prep/Shift Leader

We're looking for someone who's already got the rhythm of a fast food operation in their bones — and is ready to help set the tone for the whole crew.

As a Kitchen Prep/Shift Leader at Lulu Dae's, you're not just supervising. You're elbow-deep in prep, building bowls alongside the team, jumping on the soft serve when it's slammed, and making sure every single person on the floor has what they need to do their best work. You lead by doing, not by watching.

What you'd actually be doing

Kitchen Prep:

• Owning a significant portion of daily prep — breaking down fruit, portioning toppings, prepping bases, and making sure the line never runs dry
• Working with Management to plan and execute prep lists based on projected volume
• Keeping the prep area clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout the day
• Receiving and properly storing ingredients, rotating stock, and flagging anything that's off

Running the Shift:

• Keeping the line moving, the station stocked, and the vibe right
• Coaching your crew in the moment, not just at review time
• Handling cash, deposits, and daily record-keeping with accuracy and ownership
• Keeping an eye on food quality and making sure every bowl goes out to spec
• Resolving issues — with guests, with the flow, with whatever comes up — calmly and quickly
• Overseeing cleanliness, organization, and end-of-day close
• Supporting Management with inventory and whatever else the operation needs
• Stepping in as a full Bowl Maker / Soft Serve Artist whenever the team needs the hands

What we're looking for:

• At least a year of supervisory experience, ideally in food service
• Real kitchen prep experience — you know your way around a cutting board and a walk-in
• Someone who leads by example and earns respect naturally
• Calm under pressure — you're the person others look to when it gets hectic
• Sharp organizational skills and solid attention to detail
• Clear communicator, written and verbal
• Physically up for it — on your feet all shift, lifting up to 25 lbs, moving constantly
• Genuinely bought into doing things the right way
