What You’ll Actually Do Chevron is hiring Facilities Engineering Interns for Electrical Engineering Intern roles at various operating locations across the U.S. Electrical, Instrumentation & Control interns will be assigned an engineering mentor and one or more projects to support operating facilities through the application of technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. Ames, Iowa Bakersfield, California Belle Chasse, Louisiana Covington, Louisiana ElSegundo, California Geismar, Louisiana Greeley, Colorado Houston, Texas Midland, Texas Pasadena, Texas Pascagoula, Mississippi Richmond, California SaltLake City, Utah These areas of support may include: Optimizing facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably. Providing technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects. Developing and/or deploying industry‑leading technologies to reduce carbon, increase efficiency and maximize returns. Using digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety. At the completion of the internship, interns will have the opportunity to apply for a return internship or a full‑time position with Chevron. Full‑time entry‑level graduates will enter Chevron’s Horizons Program, an early‑career development program that combines formal training, on‑the‑job competency development, mentoring, and multiple job assignments. What’s Next After the Internship Top‑performing interns may be invited back or offered a full‑time role after graduation. New graduates who join Chevron full‑time enter the Horizons Program, which includes formal training, mentorship, and multiple job assignments with potential location rotations. What You Must Have Students pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Strong academic performance in core programs. Communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to demonstrate The Chevron Way. Why Intern at Chevron? You work on real projects, not side tasks. Compensation & Benefits Anticipated monthly hourly range: $28.25 hourly – $8,300 monthly. Furnished housing. Participation in Employee Savings Investment Plan with immediate vesting. Chevron matching contributions: 4% company match for a 1% employee contribution; 8% match for a 2% contribution. Flexible work schedules (5/40, 9/80, or 4/10) as determined by the hiring manager. Paid holidays depending on your work schedule. Full year of service credit for each internship completion (must be re‑employed within 365 days). When converted to a full‑time new graduate position, benefits include healthcare, time off, retirement plans, and development opportunities. Relocation Options Relocation may be considered.
