Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour, $1,000 hiring bonus!

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required

No Weekends or Holidays and a Monday - Thursday work week!

Client Service Representative Qualifications:

The successful CSR candidate will share Anicira's commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service. The CSR creates an atmosphere of support for clients and their pets.

Veterinary Assistant Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player
• Flexible work style amidst shifting priorities; calm under pressure
• Knowledge of basic veterinary medical concepts
• Maintain an open mind regarding changes, be willing to learn and teach new protocols
• Excellent client service skills

Client Service Representative Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Offer excellent client service at all times
• Demonstrate respect and friendliness to all clients and team members; appreciate cultural differences and approach all interactions with kindness and an open mind
• Build close working relationships with others both internally and externally
• Use a non-judgmental approach to build trusting relationships with clients
• Answer phone calls-schedule appointments, answer general questions
• Present and explain fees and treatment plans
• Utilize practice management software effectively
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Manage a multi-line phone system. Accurately and efficiently triage phone calls
• Have a great phone voice (interactive, positive, calming)
• Think quickly and problem-solve with sound judgment
• Generate hospital forms and reports from the practice management software
• Answer questions regarding products and services, educate clients
• Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence
• Have the ability to triage patients and alert technicians and doctors
• Complete financial transactions for clients
• Review and determine client eligibility for financial assistance programs
• Maintain hospital appearance and maintenance, ensuring that facility is clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist Veterinarians and Technicians with surgical dentistry procedures
• Provide compassionate care
• Ability to accommodate changes in work priorities and/or scheduling
• Monitor vital signs of sedated and anesthetized patients in all perioperative phases
• Clean and disinfect kennels, carriers, equipment, and facility
• Communicate in an effective and professional manner with clients
• Medical record keeping
• Fill prescriptions
• Perform laboratory work and assist with diagnostic imaging
• Client education
• Follow written and verbally communicated standard operating procedures
• General housekeeping
• Perform other duties as assigned

Veterinary Assistant Physical and Job Requirements:

• Routinely lift 40 pounds and perform daily strenuous activity including, but not limited to walking, carrying, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling on a consistent basis and for long periods of time, up to 10 hours per day.
• Work at a computer for extended periods of time with repetitive typing, sitting, arm, and hand motion.
• Exposure to dogs, cats and rabbits of all sizes, temperaments, and medical status.
• Able to work standing for 10 hours per day.

Work Hours: NO WEEKENDS! We offer an alternative work week: 4 day, 40 hour schedule. Monday-Thursday 7:15a - 6:15p with a 1 hour lunch break. The hospital is closed Friday-Sunday and on holidays so you will have time to enjoy the things you love!

**Before the opening of our new Culver City location, all new team members will complete approximately 4-weeks of onsite training at our Encinitas location. Anicira covers all associated expenses for days worked, including mileage, hotel accommodations, and a meal stipend. **

Position may require occasional flexibility and occasional overtime.
