Cloud Architect (AWS/Terraform Enterprise)Location: Chandler, AZ Hybrid - On-Site 3 Days a WeekOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role will be responsible for architecting cloud solutions, developing Terraform Enterprise modules, implementing CI/CD automation, and supporting enterprise cloud governance initiatives.The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS architecture, Terraform Enterprise, cloud networking, security, and automation within large-scale enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and architect end-to-end AWS infrastructure solutions using Terraform Enterprise.Build, maintain, and optimize reusable Terraform modules and enterprise IaC frameworks.Develop automated deployment pipelines leveraging Terraform Enterprise and Bitbucket.Architect secure, scalable, highly available AWS environments across multiple accounts and regions.Design and implement AWS database infrastructure solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code.Establish cloud governance, provisioning standards, and deployment controls.Collaborate with engineering, security, networking, and application teams to deliver cloud solutions.Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational requirements.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical planning and design discussions.Provide architectural guidance and best practices for cloud transformation initiatives.Required QualificationsAWS ArchitectureStrong experience designing enterprise-scale AWS solutions.Extensive knowledge of:VPC architectureSubnets and route tablesNAT Gateways and Internet GatewaysTransit GatewayVPC Endpoints and PrivateLinkRoute 53VPN and Direct Connect connectivityExperience with multi-account and multi-region architectures.Terraform Enterprise7+ years of hands-on Terraform experience.Strong expertise with:Terraform Enterprise (TFE)Reusable module developmentState managementRemote backendsWorkspace design and administrationVariable managementEnvironment promotion strategiesVCS integration and governance workflowsExperience with Policy as Code solutions such as Sentinel or OPA is highly desirable.CI/CD and AutomationExtensive experience building CI/CD pipelines using:BitbucketBitbucket PipelinesTerraform EnterpriseExperience implementing deployment approval processes, quality gates, and automated infrastructure provisioning.AWS Database ServicesHands-on experience supporting and architecting:Amazon RDSAmazon AuroraDynamoDBDocumentDBElastiCacheOpenSearchIncluding:High availability and disaster recoveryPerformance optimizationScalability planningCost optimization strategiesSecurity and Identity ManagementStrong AWS IAM expertise including:IAM Roles and PoliciesLeast-Privilege Access ModelsPermission BoundariesService Control Policies (SCPs)Cross-Account AccessFederation and SSO integrationsExperience with:AWS KMSSecrets ManagerParameter StoreCloudTrailCloudWatchPreferred QualificationsExperience with Ansible Playbooks and infrastructure automation.Experience working in highly regulated enterprise environments.Knowledge of cloud governance and compliance frameworks.AWS Professional-level certifications are a plus.Terraform certification is highly desirable.Preferred CertificationsCandidates possessing one or more of the following certifications are strongly preferred:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalAWS Certified Advanced Networking – SpecialtyAWS Certified Security – SpecialtyHashiCorp Certified: Terraform AssociateAWS Certified Database – Specialty (preferred for candidates with extensive AWS database architecture experience)Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (nice to have)Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent Ansible automation certification (nice to have)Additional RequirementsExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments.Familiarity with Jira and related Agile tools.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment.What We're Looking ForThis opportunity is ideal for a cloud professional with a passion for AWS architecture, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and cloud governance.
