The Social Publication is hiring an Advertising Sales Representative to help local businesses connect with readers through our community magazine.

We're a local magazine built around the people who make a community feel like home. Our pages feature neighbors, business owners, local events, and organizations making a difference.

From a family's story to a favorite neighborhood business, we give readers a chance to get to know the people around them. Our advertisers are part of that experience, connecting with residents through a publication that celebrates where they live.

About the role

You'll introduce businesses to The Social Publication, learn what they want to accomplish, and help them choose advertising that fits their goals. You'll find new advertisers, follow up with prospects, and take care of your clients as those relationships grow.

This is a chance to build a book of business while working with the shops, services, and familiar local names you see every day.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent contractor role with full commission and no base salary or draw . Earn recurring commissions of up to 80% , depending on monthly sales volume and performance relative to the baseline production and operating costs. Those costs are not paid out of pocket. Start-up and ongoing bonuses are also available.

About you

You like people, ask good questions, and do what you say you'll do. You're comfortable reaching out to someone new, enjoy taking initiative, and keep your day organized.

Experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, or customer service is welcome. Whether you have years of experience or are exploring something new, we'd like to hear from you.
