Position Summary


The Teller is responsible for providing exceptional member service while accurately processing financial transactions. This role serves as a primary point of contact for members, handling routine banking needs, promoting financial products and services, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet members promptly and courteously, creating a positive and professional experience
• Process a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing
• Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate transaction records
• Identify and respond to member needs by recommending appropriate products and services
• Educate members on account features, digital banking tools, and available financial solutions
• Maintain confidentiality and security of member information
• Detect and prevent fraudulent transactions by following established procedures
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Resolve member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Assist with opening, maintaining, and closing accounts as needed
• Support branch operations, including administrative tasks and team initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cash handling and/or customer service experience preferred
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software
• Professional appearance and demeanor
