BHS is looking for a dynamic psychiatrist to join our growing Utilization Management Team. Utilization
management is the process of reviewing medical services to ensure they are necessary, appropriate,
and cost-efficient. It involves evaluating patient care decisions before, during, and after treatment
using evidence-based guidelines to control costs, improve quality, and prevent overuse of resources.

The Medical Director of the Office of Coordinated Care provides psychiatric clinical leadership and
oversight for Office of Coordinated Care teams, programs and other associated teams, including OCC's Access teams, Care Coordination teams, and DPH's Street Health team. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, and evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals
experiencing acute mental health crises, homelessness, and/or substance use disorders, often in
community and street settings. This role requires a unique blend of clinical expertise, community
outreach experience, and administrative skills.

SCHEDULE/SHIFT: Generally, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, hours may vary, and evening and weekend shifts may be required  

Minimum Qualifications :

1. Current valid CA License medical by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California*.
2. Successful completion** of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association in a Psychiatric medical specialty area (i.e., Board Eligible).
3. Current valid Drug Enforcement Agency registration with the United States Department of Justice.
