POSITION OVERVIEW: This role leads the architectural design process for new and renovation building projects, guiding clients and multidisciplinary design teams from concept through construction. The position involves producing high-quality design deliverables, ensuring projects meet codes and standards, and promoting architectural excellence within the firm. LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA or Arlington, VA with travel to client and project sites. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Leading collaborative teams of architects and engineers to deliver innovative, high-quality designs. Producing exceptional project deliverables at every stage of design. Representing and championing architectural design excellence within the firm. Participating in client meetings and interviews for new project opportunities. QUALIFICATIONS What’s Required: Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program. Licensed Architect (RA) in Virginia or eligible for reciprocity. Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in architectural practice. Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, construction, and structures. Proficiency with Revit. What Puts You Ahead: Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Procore, Office 365, Teams, and Enscape. Experience with federal, healthcare, and/or higher education work. Accredited professional under LEED, LFA, WELL or other sustainability-focused organization. Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC).
